Podcasts are seeing an increase in brand awareness marketing.


By encouraging customers to visit a website or apply a code provided by a sponsor, direct response ads accounted for the majority of podcast ad income in the United States in 2021. They were still the most popular kind of campaign in podcasting. Nonetheless, with a 46 percent revenue share in 2021 compared to a 26 percent share in 2016, brand awareness advertisements seemed to be a more popular choice.


The popularity of podcasts is growing.


In 2022, eight out of ten Americans who are 12 years of age or older know about podcasting. In the United States, over 60% of customers in this age range listened to audio podcasts, which is a more than twofold increase from 10 years previously. The audio programs that are made available online cover a variety of subjects and are usually delivered in installments. With a unique audience of 30 million listeners in September 2021, iHeartRadio was the most popular podcast publisher in the United States.
